About Me

I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Union College in New York and my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the New College of California in San Francisco in 1995. I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1999, and specialize in therapy for adolescents and adults. My early training comprised of working in an adult psychotherapy clinic, an adolescent drug treatment center, and in two elementary schools (K-8) in San Francisco. I previously worked at Child Haven, a children's mental health clinic in Fairfield, as an early-child developmental specialist for children 0-5. I also have extensive knowledge of Type 1 Diabetes and Celiac's Disease, and welcome the chance to support you or someone in your family if they are struggling with either of these medical conditions.

In 2010, I founded Flexible Learning Opportunities (FLO), an educational program and parent support group for parents in Marin who have children with learning differences and behavioral challenges. In 2018, I co-facilitated a weekly parenting support group for parents who have children with ADHD and other learning and behavioral challenges. This group served to educate and support parents who were struggling to meet the needs of their child at home and at school. In my practice, I continue to enjoy supporting parents and their children/teens who struggle with learning and behavioral challenges.

I am a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and serve on the Wellness Advisory Board in the Tam District. Over the last five years, I have volunteered my time toward developing parent education programs in the Tam District and am a member of the Parent Education Group of Marin. I am also a member of CHAAD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). I am a proud parent to two teenagers and understand the wonderful and complex nature of raising children.

As an interactive therapist, my therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques such as psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies to offer a personalized approach tailored to each client. I work with each individual to develop safety and trust, and believe in working with clients to build on their strengths in order to attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
